Understanding Reverse Worker Migration during the Covid-19 Lockdown in India and the Green Revolution
ABSTRACT:
Coronavirus pandemic has led to reverse migration of workers to Bihar and UP, areas previously suffering from a lack of economic development. Now is the right time for the government to promote setting up industries in these undeveloped areas. India should work on its macro economies for inclusive growth, and the solution lies in creating employment opportunities in regional areas to reduce the immense population pressure facing big cities such as Delhi, Bengaluru, Pune, and Mumbai.
